A tip for easier program opening:

Right-click a shortcut ->select Properties ->Shortcut Key ->Press a key combination.

Tried WinKey-Letter combination, but I have to use Ctl-Alt-letter = AltGr-Letter.

Do that for your most common apps, and it really speeds up your work! Now you don't have to go thru Start Menu or don't have to clear the desktop anymore to open something.

I assigned the links form the Start Menu, so I could clean up the desktop too :wink:

The combinations are real easy, I made:
AltGr-P = Pulsar
AltGr-C = Cubase
AltGr-F = Fruityloops
AltGr-E = Explorer
...

Also check your Winhelp on Keyboard Shortcuts. There's a lot of keyboard shortcut preset in Windows.

why not just drop your shortcuts into the taskbar for instant single mouse click access?

For WinKey combinations try this, http://www.copernic.com/winkey/ :smile: I also like al's suggestion, this is what I do personally.

I use WinKey. If it uses system resources, it is less than 1% (I see no difference, when I go to system/performance). By the way, windows allready has shortcuts. One example try pressing "Flag" and "pause/break" at the same time in win98.
