Hey everyone, I am thinking about purchasing a midi controller to do my mixing and I was wondering if I could please get your input. I am looking for something to use with my pulsar, mainly for mixing(big mixer), so I would prefer sliders instead of knobs.
I have heard good things about the kenton control freak, and the Peavy PC 1600x and the deopfer pocket fader.
Does anyone here use any of these devices? Has anyone been through this and already knows which would best integrate into a pulsar/cubase setup.
Any advice would be really appreciated fellas. Thanks
RL

If I were you, I´d try the Doepfer Regelwerk, that´s very nice.

I have the Drehbank and I´m very happy with it´s knobs, they´re very stable and smooth. But sometimes it´s hard to keep the overview...

Hi,
I'm using 2 Pc1600x's and I'm very happy with them.
Due to it's sysex integration, it can really send *anything but midi clock* from any slider or button. It has 2 CV inputs, which can be assigned to CC#, Masterfader or sysex string.
It's preset changes can be linked to other gear, for example Cubase. When selecting different VST panel, the right Pc1600x preset jumps up

. Thinking of that, i should check how compatible it is with Pulsar View's etc. I use pc1600 knobs to hide or show panels from PulsarMixer.
In the old days
Check
defectiverecords!
I uploaded the one's I found them decent enough to distribute
the atom.
ps: Pc1600x is about 350 Euro (290$)

I wonder if Emagic's upcoming board will do the trick. I saw the demo at a local store and I really think that's the one worth having.
It works in MIDI, has assignable pots and sliders BUT will it work on stuff from other companies?
I Think it should since it does work in MIDI. I'm just curious as to the Sysex communication...

I TOO AM INTERESTED IN THE EMAGIC STUFF HOWEVER, WHO KNOWS HOW IT WILL TURN OUT. I'M USING CUBASE AND WANT TO STICK WITH IT FOR THE VST/XTC INTEGRATION RIGHT NOW WITH PUSLAR AND WOULD LIKE IT AS MORE SYNTHS ARE PORTED TO VST WITH THEIR UPGRADES FROM ALL THE 3RD PARTY PEOPLE.....
A SIMPLE KNOBBIE IS WHAT I NEED MYSELF BECAUSE I HAVE TWO O1V'S THAT WORK EXCELLENT AND SEAMLESSLY WITH CUBASE AND PULSAR.....
HOWEVER, DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE THE O1V TO BIG MIXER MIDI PATCH THEY COULD POST HERE?

Then why don't you upload your sysex presets??? Must be very handy for other users too.

I don´t use it for Cubase, only for Pulsar and I don´t need SysEx there.
