SDK Device Protect no longer works

Post by mausmuso »

Hi There,
Suddenly I can no longer protect devices developed in SDK 5.1!
It there an attribute or something that can lock this out?
Has anyone had this issue?
I thought it may be a corrupted PEP file or the like, so I reloaded SDK but I still have the problem.
Its not the device I was working on.
To check that, I loaded an empty synth, renamed it, saved it as a device and tried to protect it, but no go.
Must be missing something?

Did you use the protection patch from here: ftp://sonic-core.net/software/scope5/sdk5/

I thought I did, but will reapply.
I have re-installed a couple of times and maybe I didn't do it the last time.
Thanks

can you try something please to confirm?

after you protect, take the protected device to sdk and look at the project explorer. is the device truly locked or via project explorer can you expand it? (if you can expand it, you can save as on what is expanded - meaning IT IS NOT PROTECTED) can you confirm?
