I had a problem with clicks and pops in Cubase 5.0r1 which now seems to be solved:DMA mode was not activated in
windows systemsetup.
Hope this will help others.

Ok.The IDE harddisks must work in DMA mode, when you work with sound in Cubase, probably also in Logic..I have a danish version of Windows so I might use wrong terms in this explanation.
Go to start-settings-controlpanel-system-devisehandling-select a hardisk go to the middle menu :settings andf activate DMA.
