I just cannot justify keeping this setup. It's making my life complicated. I remember having a cheap analog mixer with a cheap sound card and a microphone. I am going back to basics. Just an audio interface with multiple inputs instead of the mixer and sticking to hardware.

15 DSP ADAT is already gone.

That's funny ! I remember when I started to make computer/music, I didn't know absolutely NA-DA about computers but I wanted to do that. So I bought a Gina ! To record my JV 2080. Then I discovered Creamware !
I gave the Gina to a friend of mine : I didn't had any use of it anymore.

F...k I'm getting old... Life is daft : it should pass in the opposit way. I can't believe some people think life is perfect or perhaps they are just lucky.

It was a 100$ sound card. The company doesn't even exist anymore

Ahahaha, it seems that anyone that has anything to do with music is always broke. This pro audio stuff ain't cheap

That's why I am simplifying my setup. Just an audio interface with 16 inputs (yeah I had to add a behringer box for extra I/O to my presonus box that I am waiting for). I know the A16 would sound better, but the presonus only has 8 channels of ADAT.

Oh, BTW. Killed my motherboard by putting in a new chip and missing the hole on the water cooler plate. I hit the PCB and broke some traces. Probably bent a few pins too. So that's another 200$ for a new 1150 motherboard It's all cool though, I am slowly starting to save up a few dollars a month.

Well, what I probably should have done was to have held out for a used XITE-1D, as was my original intention, but I got caught up in it all. My original plan was to get the 1D, some 3rd party software and some extra i/o but the new XITE-1 more or less wiped me out. I had a little put aside from Christmas but I blew it on Obscurium, Falcon and Flexor. I'm not really complaining, but we're trying to live lean at least until my birthday in April. Funny thing is, the XITE-1 is my attempt at "simplifying my setup."

Everyone has a different way of working. I don't know about you, but I am doing this just for fun. I will never make a cent of music, it's just for relaxation and stuff like that. I fix other people crappy code for a living and make it better

Is this the Creamware or Sonic Core A16 Ultra? - EG-The one with the Z-Link connector? - Have you sold yet? - How much are you looking for? - BNC sync card?

the Creamware and SonicCore A16 Ultra are the exact same boxes, just different colors.
