Finally took the 64bit plunge and bought v5.1 this week.
Midway through installing I reached the driver install stage.
I get the error:

Found: "Sonic Core Pulsar 2"
ERROR: InstallDriver returned -2
[Cancel]

Anyone seen this before?

Make sure you are installing the PCI version, not the XITE version. They are different hardware. Also, make sure you install as administrator!

More information:
OS: Windows 10
Scope software: SONIC_CORE_SCOPE_PCI_v5.1.2709-x64_EN.exe
Scope hardware: 2x Pulsar II.
I'm running the installer as administrator.

Depending on the OS, don't forget the TESTSIGNING boot configuration.

Edit: Just noticed the OS is Windows 10, but I suppose it should be the same as with 8.

Thanks, you're right Gary, the instructions are in the email. They were down past the .sig so I didn't spot them!

Pasted below

========================================
You can permanently enable Test Mode by opening an Elevated Command Prompt and typing the following commands, then rebooting:
bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

hit enter after each command. to open an elevated command prompt, use these instructions:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8 ... dows-8.htm

To turn it off again, use these commands:
bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF

here is a second way to enter test mode:
http://www.fotoclubinc.com/blog/how-to- ... windows-8/

windows 8.1 is slightly different:
http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/ ... indows-8-1

for Windows 10:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insi ... 248?auth=1

also, for win10, you may need to restart the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services to make the wave drivers work. to do this go to "run" and type "services.msc" and then press enter. find the service in the list and then highlight it and choose "restart". do this for both services

I just did the bit in italic and it seems to have worked. Shame about the watermark on the desktop but I'll get used to it :)

Oh, wait, it seems you can safely turn it off again once the driver's installed. Happy days. Thanks for the help!
