This is a fairly old topic concerning pulsars inability to handle certain types of midi data. The solution seems to be to use a midi adapter (non usb) for programs not associated with pulsar(ie sound diver, system exclusive.....)

Why not USB? MidEx8 is USB only, but it works with sounddiver, too.
btw, have you already read about the new USB2.0? It is amazingly fast, 480mbit/s...
There“s an adaptec-card i want to get, the "Duo-Connect", is there anyone who already owns it and has some experiences?

USB2.0 will be on almost all motherboards in about 6 months, so I'll wait for that before putting another PCI card on my PCI bus.
BTW you guys did see that the A16 Ultra has a USB2.0 option planned, that would allow it to work without any audio card? Pretty sick! Imagine that on a notebook w/ USB2 port

It couldn't hurt to give the serial interface a try. The Pod doesn't need high performance, it just needs a midi interface that allows all the data to pass through. The reason I didn't recomend a usb type, is because of all the struggles reported on the forums concerning them, and how they might conflict with the pulsar's IRQ and it's signal on the PCI bus.

Sounds like I am having a similar problem with Luna and Pod Pro/Soundiver 3.0. I keep getting communication error messages. I didn't have a problem with tripleBoard MIDI I/O's and the same setup.

I'VE BEEN USING IT WITH A MOTU MTP A/V AS MY MIDI ROUTER WITH PULSAR RUNNING THROUGH THE MTP A/V WITH NO PROBLEMS.
HEY CHECK THIS OUT...

I'M CONSIDERING THIS AS A POD PRO REPLACEMENT....
