MIDI CC# 95 Bypass Distortion

I am using multiple S|C Distortion instances and often click on/off bypass.
So shouldn't the plug remember the MIDI assignment for each instance of Distortion..?

Loading 1 instance the effect works fine, the MIDI CC stored works w/o a hitch.
But once I use multiple instances I find the CC# doesn't play ball.

Any work arounds other than using different plug ins, which means 3 x MIDI CC3s of different value...
No biggie but my Guitarist is pretty talented and a perfectionist.
We worked for 30 minutes getting the right tone in Kontakt, which actually means I can use full on "hard" distortion on any Kontakt sound and get the ballsy Sabbath stuff.

But I went to the intro of the Pusher by Steppwnwolf as I cover rhythm guitar parts with my left hand, even add the slides and grace notes etc.
But we got Sabbath instead of dirty/clean and that always gets me that jacked off look from him.

Save me Please.....

I can't test at the moment, but did you drop it into modular as an insert, and go from there?

It's in 3 different channels as an insert. STM 1632x.

If I understand and remeber correctly, you can only assign 1cc to one button/parameter. You can not assign the same cc to severel different buttons.

Looks like you're right. I assigned a different CC# per instance and they work.

Actually on project recall it was funky.
Ended up using 2 other stock S|C plugs.
TQDrive for Transistor Organ stuff, Wurlitzer 200A sounds got Overdrive and Distortion for the Kontakt Guitar stuff.

Have you tried Mehdi's CC5 for that?

Bug in Scope funky yes...But actually VST FX do the same thing, they require a separate command on multiple instances to function properly, but I want a new definition of the word properly then.

And No, YaYaJ.
CC5 is meant for multiple CC#s generated from a single press/twist/stomp of a single CC#.

If I wanted all instance to change from on to bypass at the same time that would definitely work though.
I was being Chintzie by trying to be overly efficient and use a single CC for multiple duties.
So I broke down and added more Distortion plugs.
I think S|C knew this from the beginning, so they gave use a few Distortion plugs with minor differences for those with large distortion needs.

Gotcha, that's what I thought you were trying to do but now I understand. Conservation of CC's. I'll bet you are using a lot for your gig.

So far I have memorized 54 CC#'s.
But Physis recalls thankfully...
I got enough Pedals, Presets and controllers to think about while playing as it is...
