Hello all ,
There are a lot of good devices on the Scope plaform capable of doing great pads.
What's your favorite pad? (device/patch)

Re: What's your favorite pad ?
theres no advantage in sound or features with 64bit os
there are 32bit win7 and win8 and the samplers work in win732bit
and you can assign 4gb per program so you dont get the limitations of xp 4gb limit
audio is done in 32bit int in scope
and you cant save files in 64bit audio only 32bit floating point or 24bit
so you dont need 64bit
why cripple your system when in 32bits it works as programmed

Well, it's a bit too late. I don't want to reinstall Windows. Most of my installed software is for x64

Disagree there's no advantage to 64 bit.
Zarg Prowave hands down no contest for best Pad.

Well, probably not audio wise,- but now w/ Reason 8, we have the 1st application running in 64Bit systems only.dante wrote:Disagree there's no advantage to 64 bit.
Do it´s WAV-OSC, RD-Slot & Waldorf wavetables work in 64bit ?dante wrote: Zarg Prowave hands down no contest for best Pad.

Re: What's your favorite pad ?
I don't think the WAV oscs work, but pretty sure the Waldorf does!

Hmm, selecting the wavetables in Pro Wave doesn't seem to affect the sound for some reason. But the WT oscillators do work in Solaris. When selecting WAV in Solaris, it says the DSP capacity has been reached.

Re: What's your favorite pad ?
Some time ago, I recognized that being the main functionality of ZARG Solaris v5 on SCOPE systems, regardless of 32 or 64bit and regardless of it being PCI card (15DSP) or XITE-1.tlaskows wrote: ... in Solaris, it says the DSP capacity has been reached.
Non working WAV OSC w/ Prowave and in 64bit systems is what I expected.
When not hearing any wavetables, there must be an additional issue too.
Really, before spending a lifetime trying to force SCOPE working flawlessly in 64bit and w/ all it´s stock- and 3rd party devices available, it´s much easier to operate a 2-machine setup,- one for 32bit and the other for 64bit system.
Connect via ADAT and MIDI and you´re done.
You´ll always have an older machine left over when upgrading for the latest and fastest for native apps and VST/AU.
Run 32bit windows on the older machine.

That would work. But I don't think I have any working old computers. I think I fried them all :/

You want cheap? ebay. look for manufacturer refurb, off lease machines. They most likely sat in a cubicle for a few years before they were sent back. The good thing about it is they were most likely managed by an IT department which means no OC or screwing with the components and for the most part well maintained.

Yes I want cheap or free. I blew all my money on Scope lol

This is my go-to Pad on the ProWave - reason I like it - its a no frills pad but has the right amount of warm fuzz
No modulations or undulations - just warm, fuzzy, floaty pad. Featured here in a classic 80's soft rock tune, I thought Id upload it as an instrumental so easy to hear the 3 voice ProWave.
