smooth guitar playing, marcus. i started out as a guitar player as well, but my style is kinda 'rough'. i gave up practising solo's a long time ago. now i'm more interested in the harmonic aproach (i hardly use standard tuning anymore, some tunings are so 'rich' you can make fantastic chord progressions with just one or two fingers (i hope you understand what i'm trying to say...)).
'bout the track: well as you said yourself, it's not finished. first i thought 'why bring in some vocals?' but after a while, the song lacked something indeed. personally i'd give the drum tracks an electronic (d'n'b) touch.
did someone mention 'master' fripp reviewing algorhythm's 'problem of evil'?
another good one as an example would be elliot sharp (i only have one song from him on a compilation cd (tectonics:krkd, taken from 'field&stream') it's d'n'b with excellent guitar leads, very moody.

Well, i'd be interrested in that! I've reached a point where i do not progress anymore, need more input!

If only i could be as good! Man i would be happy! Well your right about drums, they are pretty dull. Really is only a looping section for keeping the beat. I'm really having trouble with making drums tracks. I need the help of one of my friends who's a drummer, but he's not really available now. Must learn more by myself for sure...

same problem over here as well concerning drumtracks. a friend said i can use one of his old kits to learn how to beat the skins (does this sound ambigous to you algorhythm? ). hope to understand rhythms better this way (see you again in five years time ).
about alternate tunings: i gave up guitar music a few years ago, until i heard motorpsycho (best rock band around imho). i tried to play their songs, but couldn't manage, 'till i wanted to check out their lyrics and saw to my suprise almost all their songs had alternate tunings. check out http://motorpsycho.fix.no/musicbox/guitartab/

as a result, i bought this book: 'the complete book of alternate tunings' by mark hanson. this was two years ago, and since then, my PRS and i have refound the ultimate love affair.

i heard of robert fripp being a guitar guru, but don't really know his music (i think he did some bits on a future sound of london album), there's so much music around.

Aaaahh... this is smooth. Something I'd looooove to remix. It's hard letting such nice "real" guitars go by un-funked up and all chopped up, etc.
Is it that you're getting used to the Pulsar workflow? The 'sound' itself is settling down in a very good way. Not the usual 'lectro way that's seen in most Pulsar users, which is cool too. I mean, rave and trance ain' all musics about ya know.
Something I'd love to have tequila sunrise with, on the beaches of the Pulsar Island.

Yeah, this is exactly it. I got myself a Pulsar1+ and some good nearfields monitor not so long ago, in addition to my Luna. I was making Music when i was a teen, playing Metalica and thing like that with a band. I stop completly for almost 8 years i donno why. Last winter i buyed a new guitar, and it was all over again! But, after 8 years, got to find my style again, which also as evolved even without playing.

I'm usualy not so bad at improvisation, but composing is a bit new. It like back to school for me Well, i suspect i'll be able to do real music soon!
