What signals are coming from Sonic Core?
Are they still alive?
Are they working on newer Scope versions?
Are they replying to support requests?

I don't think there's a word about the new software except that they are working on it.

I still get excellent support from them with my 12 year old PCI cards...

I hope so !!
But it's true they spoke about Scope 6.0 : 3 or 4 (maybe 5 ??) years ago ! It's normal to ask to itself the question !

With all that time, let's hope they are going to give us a tremendous sofware !
- New fantastic midi implementation / timing
- Excellent dsp automatic assignment
- Mixers without any bug
- etc ... etc ...

A software at the same level as their hardware !

If there is something important for Scope users to be, it's to be patient. So let's wait ! :D

Still alive, but in coma.
Support docter Garyb maintains the infusions, which he does very well.
Scope is still fantastic, but not really future proof anymore.
F.i. tablet musicions aren't waiting for a classically organised music system.

I hope they still support the old cards with the new software... If they don't, it's still good. I'm quite happy with 5.1

Yes I agree with this but the 64 bit support would be needed for STS samplers etc.....on windows 7 64 bit computers but I can't see this happening. Lets hope the PCI cards are covered

I don't use the samplers (I'm on 64 bit), but it probably be nice to have them...

Hi guys,
Im on Windows 7 32 bit running Scope 5.1, i will have to decide if i want to switch to Windows 64 bit or not in the near future. I dont need the Samplers at all, luckily.
But what are the known bugs in Scope 5.1 with Windows 64 bit ?

Peace

Would you keep the 32 bit PC and make another computer up when the time is right?-
Ask Gary b about bugs in 64 bit-If you have PCI cards use socket 1150 MOBO not 1155 [gary b recommends]-
If you use Xite-1 it doesn't matter-
Most of 64 bit works well from what I've read....Also search the forum for "best computer for Scope"

Well, the sequencer on the SB404 has some issues, but I think it happens in 32bit too.

the sequencer bug is present in both 32 and 64 bit, it's not related to operating system, it's an incompatibility between the sequencer dsp module and the new xite hardware dsp's and if you try for example to load the 808 groover patch and assign the modular shell to dsp 2, it will work right, because dsp number 2 is one of the older hardware dsp's, unfortunately the same trick is not possible with al in one synths, like the sb 404, because one single dsp is not enough to fit.
I have a dual boot configuration, 32 bit if i need to open some sts presets and use vdat, the 64 bit is fine with vdat and sampler exception, i also enabled pae on 32 bit to allow all my 16 GB ram to be used in 4 GB per process and scope is fine.

Truly Impressive...
