After 2 days (and nights) of installing, reinstalling, tweaking and twisting I have to give up

Bassicly it works: Both Logic & Pulsar "runs" on XP, but I have only 50-60% or less of the performance that I have under Win98se...

There's a couple of very strange things going on:

MasterVerb takes up massive amounts of CPU power ???

Logic is set to run at normal priority. When giving it more CPU time, it runs smoother, but Pulsar almost crawls to a halt...

Plus the Unitor8 driver doesn't support having the LogicDongle on the same port under XP. (Proberly the same for 2000)

I'm gonna test with Nuendo tomorrow, but I think you'll find me doing the music thing in Win98 for a long time to come

I'll be running the beta in a week or 2, and a LogicControl preproduction unit along with it

Anyways, I continued my XP test today with Nuendo. Much better, but I still don't see any performance gains in real-world situations over Win98 ???
Pulsar does not seem to run as smooth on XP as on 98 while the CPU and disks are stressed by Nuendo/Logic ???

I'm really interested in that, actually! So keep me posted. The idea of replacing the Yamaha 03D with a couple A16s and Logic Control intrigues me.

btw, Emagic has released new Unitor & AMT8 drivers  USB seems to work fine on Win2k.

Cos of Windoze2000 limitation, I can't have more than 10 midi ports though. And I just got an extra AMT8  Seems to run fast latency, the XP.

I'll let you know...
