Hi - I just upgraded to Win2K.
I cannot view my AKAI cds now.
they worked fine in 98SE.
now i just get about 100 folders labelled "M" or "1" with nothing in them.

Standard IDE drive not SCSI.
does this have to do with ASPI?
Win2k security? please help, I need access to my drum samples ASAP cuz I just got the STS3000! ! !

thx

You'll have fun with STS, it's very very fine and usefull...

And yes, it's aspi, even if it's IDE, cuz of the way W2K offer kind of an interface, and you have to go thru with the aspi layer...

Same here!
Even with SCSI, need ASPI!

Make a search on aspi32 in google.com, and install. Or click here : http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/suppor ... aspi32.exe

I know microsoft is saying that it is not needed anymore, but this is a litle war between adaptec and Microsoft. And even if Microsoft don't need aspi to access scsi, almost all others programs do.
