I have a reason to get a BCR now.
I wonder if they can get the BCF 2000 to act as a MIDI Sequencer with new firmware.

Possibly but since each knob can be a step, BCR2000 is a 32 step sequencer.
That would make the BCF a 16 step sequencer (?)

4 x encoder banks for 32 steps on a BCF, love to see what MIDI tricks the faders can provide.
CC automation lanes x 8 would be cool.

I'll see your 32 and raise you 128 on the BCR (32 encoders x 4 banks) ....

Yepp it was Moe, but George Raft and Mickey Rooney all talked like that back in the black and white days before color TV.
I use to love watching old flicks since they had such great music.
Not a big John Wayne fan but always enjoyed westerns where Raquel Welch, Angie Dickinson Yvonne DiCarlo and Ann Margeret were in, so I watched Train Robbers.
I was shocked at the excellent soundtrack, such musicianship and total production.
GC and PC/Macs are great depending on who does the scoring, but nothing beats an entire Orchestra.
Thank God wealthy Hollywood Liberals don't have to pay Union Musicians and Teamsters/Stagehands anymore.
They can go outside of Hollywood while retaining their luxuriuous lifestyles by increasing unemployment in their industry.
OTOH, I can't imagine a soundtrack in a Micheal Moore life of Joe Stalin film neither.
Imagine cleaning the bile and food particles from a megaphone he used all day long.
Bad enough seeing pulp from Screwdrivers (An American Mixed Cocktail) on SM58s from a gig for my vocalist.
I just don't see MMoore eating small portions of healthy food, more like Pizzas and 4 inch thick BBQ sandwiches.

I may be tempted to try this depending on how much they plan to charge for it. Looks cool.

cool thanks. that seems like a reasonable price for the features.

Looks like it's available starting today. Who will be the first to venture?
I am very tempted since I have had my BCR for about 6 months now and haven't even really touched it so i guess I really won't miss it as a controller. I'm just not sure I really need a sequencer either, but hey when has "need" ever stopped me

I do wish they would've made it to be a sequencer and still maintain control aspects...at least a page of CC messages to control external gear.

yeah that would be the best of both worlds, maybe the next version.
