LunaII Glitches & pci capaciy reached

Hi!

I've been lurking around for a few weeks, trying to solve the problems with getting my LunaII card working as it should. I'm out of options, so time to put my question up.

I'm on the following system, running W7 32 bit:
ASUS P5VD2-VM
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300
Gforce8500GT
4 gig mem

Nothing installed but the Luna and the gfx card on a clean Win7.

The problems I get are glitches in Winamp, Spotify, WMP, etc (strangely enough not on the Soundcloud webpage in IE). Also I get PCI Capacity reached errors, most of the time on the aforementioned Soundcloud page.:( I run a completely empty Scope Desktop for problem-solving sake, but Luna is acting perfectly fine otherwise, so no other errors there.

I read all the forum topics on the BIOS and Win7 settings. I triple checked and all settings are fine. I installed a latency testing program (I saw screendumps coming by on this forum, can't remember the name) and it showed more than healthy figures.

I tried swapping PCI ports, reinstalling drivers, everything else, but to no succes...

Should I go and buy a new MB? :)

Thanks a million on forehand for any help!

i doubt it's the motherboard. it almost certainly is a setting. i'm not sure where the problem is unfortunately.

what is sharing an irq with the Scope card?

Ulli settings?

Thanks for the replies!

No IRQ sharing, no conflicts

Ulli set to maximum latency (the slowest mode, the lowest option)

You've given me some hope...:) I rechecked all the settings with the recommendations from this forum, everything seems to be set up properly.

Thanks again!

windows will NEVER report a conflict. windows doesn't consider sharing a conflict, although it can be.

is this what you used for setup instructions?

Yep, I did all of that.

Working on it right now. Disabled all USB controllers in the device manager, set the ULLI tot 10 ms and things are looking a lot brighter. Could it be possible that there's LESS glitching with lower ULLI settings? Seems unlogical.

Still no conflicts found myself in the IRQ list. Luna is the only thing using IRQ 17...

Not sure I'm there yet... Wondering about the ULLI!

thanks,
Jasper

yes, sometimes timings are better at the lower settings...

you shouldn't need to disable ALL usb, only controllers that share irqs with the card. i'm almost positive that at least one controller was sharing before everything was disabled, since that's just how most newer(post Pentium 4) motherboards are.

Which version of Scope are you on? 4.5 or 5.1?

Just curious. i've been using an ASUS P5QL Pro on WinXP32 with Scope 5.1/5.0 successfully for years now. (eventually upgrading the OS to Win7 32.)
WinAmp, WMP works fine on this MB which is also a LGA775 chipset.

Maybe double check your samplerate settings and I assume you are using the 24 Bit Wave Source vs the Sound Card Source module in Scope?
