24 Bit Wave Source is only 16bit

Hi,
i load one or several 24 Bit Wave Sources in SCOPE but i can't select 24bit 96KHz in the dropdown menu in Windows 7 64bit -> Sound -> Properties -> Advanced. Only 16bit 96KHz and below are shown and selectable. Is there a solution?
Thanks, Anton.

the wave drivers are 16 or 24 bit depending on whether you connect the wave or 24bit wave modules.
Windows cannot report this correctly. it has no idea what you have chosen. a normal windows soundcard is completely controlled through windows. the Scope card is not a windows soundcard. is is controlled via the Scope GUI as external hardware.

I connect 24 Bit Wave Source but it is not working as 24bit!
For example foobar2000 WASAPI works if it outputs 16 bit, but reports unsupported stream format if it outputs 24 bit to SCOPE's 24 Bit Wave Source.
I get the same error if i use 16 Bit Wave Source in SCOPE.

the 24bit wave driver works as 24bit.

I can't choose the 24 bit option in foobar2000 so the driver is not working as 24bit. You can reproduce this behavior in your system with foobar2000 and WASAPI 3.2.3 plugin. Maybe the 24 Bit Wave Source driver works with another software but i need it working with foobar2000 and WASAPI. I asked a kind person for a workaround and not someone repeating things that don't help at all.

foobar is a consumer playback app.
it probably wants to control the soundcard, but it can't. the Scope card isn't a windows soundcard.

I checked their web site and it says that it "features innovative never seen before abilities". Like the innovative "black color scheme". Really interesting.

I believe WASAPI is the problem. I use Sonar X3 and SCOPE doesn't work with WASAPI when using SCOPE Wave drivers, I have to use Sonar's WDM if I want low-latency Wave drivers. It might be only WASAPI at 96khz I ain't 100% sure about 44khz. You'll need to use WDM or some other Wave compatible driver. All corresponding clients don't work with every Wave driver type, sometimes they are not compatible. I use WASAPI only when I use my cheap Skype headphones to make music with wich has its own driver and soundcard.

Thanks all for the input. I will use 16bit until SCOPE 6 or try another solution.
Just curious: fra77x says 24bit works but doesn't have 24bit option in his dropdown window. I'm pretty sure i can choose 24bit 96KHz for all another soundcards with 24bit drivers.

Windows can't retrieve right the specs of the wave driver but it utilizes it correctly as 24 bit. (Read the bit meter in the pic i posted). To be honest the wave output works correctly at 96kHz but not the (wave) inputs. To use both wave in and output you have to use 44100. So that can be the problem also.
I have used WASAPI with reaper with limited success (crashes). Use ASIO for the low latency effect.
