Help - Saving CC setting in old devices

A small question (one of two ...
I learned that i cas save CC allocations (mapping) on new devices by using the "MIDI PRESETS" folder in the preset file ...
How do I do this with "old" devices (with the old preset manager)? There is no "midi preset" folder ... Saving the patch doesnt save the cc mapping - and even saving the device does not save the CC mapping .... Is this possible with the old devices ?
