Hi

Every time I try to install the Pulsar 3 or 3.01 driver under WinXP Home... Pow. PC reboots without notice. Out of about 6 or 8 tries one time it didn't reboot (don't ask what was different) but on installing Pulsar s/w the driver wasn't recognised.
It's a completely fresh XP install with no other apps. I've just reinstalled XP in a new partition and still have the problem.
It's a Pulsar II and runs ok under Win98SE dual boot.
Pentium II 350MHz
576MB RAM

Any ideas?

Which motherboard? Seen like a bad PCI slot choice for your Pulsar, try moving it.

Spot on Marcuspocus.
It was in the middle, now it's on the end. Dunno if it's 1 or 3 but it works.
Thanks for your help.

Go back to 98SE...
XP is not a good system for pro audio...

Well now that I found a work-around for a latency correlation problem in Sonar, _for me_, XP works better than any Windows o/s before... ie. lower latency, more accurate timing, better stability, etc. etc...

It's Ok Analog. I'm not a Pro.
XP is fast and reliable. I'm sticking with it.
