Ferrite Beads

I haven't seen any reference to this anywhere...ever.

Has anyone out there ever tried installing ferrite beads on your computer? Apparently, there are ferrite beads designed not only for the AC cord but also the hard drive ribbon cables and the PS cables inside the PC. I'm just curious if these "tweaks" have any real effect on reducing the noise level of the audio.
