Help ! - getting error "MSVCP100.dll was not found" when launching SCOPE PCI
(Even before the scope logo appears)
Never had that prob before - and everything was OK last night (was using scope)
The only thing i did out of the ordinary yesterday was add some scope devices to my devices - ., synths and effects folders but scope ran ok after that ...(i tried moving the folders outside of the scope dir but no change ... )
I tried reinstalling scope but the problem persists ...
Assistance appreciated ... (Please help !) :/

You'll have installed a device that depends on a DLL that was compiled against the VC++ 2010 runtime libraries. Easily fixed by installing the VC++ 2010 Redistributable package. Pick the appropriate download from this search:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

Ok. Hope thats all it is ....
Thank you very much for the great (and quick) answer ...
- that was my guess - but what i didnt understand is -
Does scope scan/initiate all the devices at startup ? (Which is why i get the error)
Should moving the device out of the scope main folder make the error msg go away ?

Scope loads the .dlls found in the /App/Dll folder on startup, so if you've added something new there, it would be causing the error to appear. You can look in that folder at recently added/changed files to see if there are any candidates.

Had this annoying pop up when I copied some folders from my previous install. Figured out how to get rid of it.
Locate and copy the msvcp100.dll file (I found it in the Windows/System32 folder) and copy it into your Scope Xite (or Scope PCI)....App...Bin folder

some of roy thines modules and scope sync uses later c++ distributables that error message is because those modules call for that .dll and you dont have it
by by adding the 2010 c++ add on will remove that problem
i had it several months ago and mentioned it to shark and he told me the .dll file for roys modules needed the later c++ libraries
