A16 Ultra ADAT sync is taking longer to establish

At first powering on the A16 ultra I would have to wait maybe a minute for it to establish the ADAT synchronisation which I figured was acceptable warm up time for components but recently I've noticed it taking a lot longer, today it took over 2 minutes before it green lighted the signal. It also droped out momenterilly a short time after and then re-established itself. I have all communications cables running through plastic conduit/trunking seperate from power although there may be 1 power cable in there. Could it just be a dodgy cable (less than a year old and no movement).

Any ideas?

My ac adapter is rated 12v 3000mA on the secondary and measures 14v no load. Also checked in the trunking and no power runs with signal.

eventually you may need to send it back to Ferrofish for service...

i don't think that's the right adaptor, though. i don't really remember the exact specs, but i thought the voltage was higher. the 3amps is plenty as the original was 2.5amps, it IS AC output and not DC right?

12 Volt AC is the right adapter for the A16U. The original A16 took 18 Volt.

Nothing about time it takes to sync well first, but I had sync interruptions when i had the a16ultra and octopre near my preamps...it was too hot.
I don't know if i can help you but maybe that could be the same ?
