Changing ULLI settings freezes my DAW

Hi,

After adding 2 new pulsar2 (6dsps) to my luna3 (with 2 STDMs) - everything seems to be working fine - but whe. I change my ULLI settings (its currently at the 3rd - middle setting - 7ms@44k ) up to 3ms - or down to 13ms. - and hit "yes" (change settings now) my DAW freezes
(i get an hourglass pointer or the regular arrow and nothing responds - ive waited 20 minutes...)

Any ideas ?

I never had any such problems with just the luna3 ....

I tried disabling the "restart board if idle" settings in hw manager on my luna but no difference ...

If i select "no" and then restart SFP the new ULLI settings are available - but i think that might be a problem for changing ULLI settings mid project with cubase active (which i do to balance my cpu load) ... Or wont it ?

Is your DAW losing connection with ASIO drivers? Have your tried shutting DAW down, changing the ULLI setting then restarting DAW?

Sorry ... When i say daw i mean pc ...
The whole pc freezes ....

The problem occurs with cubase running but also right after a new startup (didnt try doing it in safe mode - but thats no real solution ...)

A friend has a similar problem if he disconnects his USB soundcard when Reaper is running. I was surprised that it didn't handle it better, but I think your best bet is to avoid changing ULLI while Cubase is running. It's a fairly risky thing to do and not so hard to just close and re-open the session?

I'm also looking for a way to change my ulli setting "on the fly", i.e. in real time with a midi controller if that is possible. I have heard of some very important effects created that way..
Also is there a way to shutdown my computer while my daw is running and the audio is not affected? Can i have that with audio rate modulation please?
