Hi folks ,, I'm running 3 x Powerpulsar cards currently on ASUS P5P800SE mobo on WinXP .
Time to go to Win7 for me and that mobo does not support Win7 ( the ASUS people confirmed this )
Would ASUS P8Z77-V LX mobo work ok for the Scope cards in Win7 32bit ?
I want to stay 32bit for now because I'm still running Scope 4.5
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Regards , Michael

if you move to windows 7, you will need v5.1. there are some using v4.5 in win7, but it's less than optimal.
the motherboard you mentioned is socket 1155. none of those motherboards work correctly. Socket 775, 1366, 1156 and the newest 1150 motherboards almost all work.

Thanks for your reply Gary ... are any of these motherboard types you mentioned "Socket 775, 1366, 1156 and the newest 1150 motherboards almost all work..." equipped with 3 or 4 PCI slots ?
My only reason for moving to Win7 is the need to run ProTools v10... and PTv10 will not run on WinXP
( ...otherwise I would happily stay with Cubase )
Cheers , Michael

Yes, I wonder if there is a motherboard with at least 2/3 PCI slots with 1150.
Here is one a bit expensive:

Any other known brand/model?

socket 1150 with 2 or 3 PCI slots?
yes, there are a number of them.
you DO understand that PCI is considered obsolete, legacy technology by the motherboard manufacturers, right? you won't have a ton of choices from each maker, but most makers DO have those slots available.

Hi Gary , yes I do understand that ,but I still would like to keep using my 3 x powerpulsar cards in a system for now, if possible.
I've also seen this mentioned :

Is this of any use ? Cheers ,Michael

no, just use a motherboard with the slots.
if you want an especially good quality one, Supermicro should have what you need.
