I picked up the Zarg Bundle in the fall of 2013, and since then have slowly been sampling the various synths. But the ProWave has really got me inspired.

I am finding it to be the perfect balance of Bass Synth, Performance synth, and Sound Design tool.

Other than the built in sequencers and little features that get filled by an external arpeggiator and daw, I can recreate just about any sound the protone, pro-one, minitaurus, or other Bass Synth can pull off.

The fact that you can swap in any one of about 50 oscillators available (plus the ones I have from FleXor), means an endless amount of sounds from leads to Waldorf soundcapes can play with the full range your speakers allow.

And, then you throw in the modular version, and I can add any extra oscillators, LFOs, sequencers, or envelopes I care to.

One question: is there a modular RD module to create your own? Solaris allows a specialized Modular shell inserted as an oscillator or filter, but it's a bit heavy for quick patch changes such. But I'd like to use some of the new ModIV Phase Distortion modules inside the pro-wave!! (This allows the modules to be loaded along with a patch change). Maybe I can pull it off with using the modular version or pro-wave together with some BCModular CLM shells.

Can't you insert an empty shell than add the desired modules, either in the Osc Slots or Filter slots.
This is how I added SpaceF Filters too which are all really unique. Groove Bands are very powerful Multi Filters.

I'll give that a shot...but you're saying load an empty shell into the oscillator or filter slot? Or John's special shell that was included with Solaris?

I can do this in Solaris, but didn't see the option for Pro-Wave. I'll look again.

That would be great, since there's also all these modules from BCModular that allow I/O directly inside the modular shell...so I can add an external analog filter from my Eurorack modular if I wanted, or the PD modules like I mentioned.

ProWave is THE BOMB !!!!

I do think John would have a very successful synth if he made the ProWave into hardware. Simple controls, but huge sound. Just add a couple sequencers and a good arpeggiator, and it's ready to go.

Solaris is an accumulation of all Zarg synths +.
Using CEM Oscillators and CEM Filters I can get the same tone, only more powerful
as the 96k internal processing makes Filters unwind with such precision.

After enjoying these Scope synths, especially Prowave, the only way forward is Solaris, it's the final frontier.
I've used it for years and still can do wierd shit like using Oscillators to modulate other destination choices, it's endless fun and if it were a car would be the Nissan Skyline, illegal here in the United Soviet States of America.

Check the drop down menu for RD Slot, then from the project window menus find a Modular Insert shell, drag and drop.
Remember though you cannot make any mistakes in connections or remove modules, you have to delete, then drag another shell in and continue.
Endless fun, but to get it working w/o interuption, use 2 voices in Unison mode.

Ask JB if you can get his Prowave SLIM BETA 2.1. It is perfect for adding tons of stuff to, as it has no Looping EGs and other parts are missing. Just the meat and potatoes.
If he cannot find it, tell him I still have one and guard it with my life.
