I have an issue with controlling the Pulsar synths from the JP8000; If i set control in omni mode (pulsar synth) then the module receives midi data from the jp8000. If i set it to, say, midi channel 15 then the pulsar synth won't receive any midi commands. Offcourse I did also set the Jp8000 to send on that midi channel 15. But nothing happens.
Still, all my gear connected to the patchbay receive midi. So if I play the jp8000 all my midi gear receives midi and send out sounds...
Guess this is a problem of the JP??
Anyone working with the JP8000 and pulsar synths?

Did you set the "pulsar synth" MIDI-CH to 15 or whatever matched on the Jp8000 (1~16)? The must be same MIDI-CH!

Used to control Pulsar with mc505, for synths that have similar build-up. For others, I made this
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=13&0 for the PC1600x.
We should ask Creamware for presets for midi assignment. Don't you guys hate to go over the BigMixer with your mouse and assign 120 knobs and sliders before you can lift off? Ok, I made a template for it. But then again, what do we do with the midi control of the other 200 devices?
I WANT MIDI REMOTE EASY RESTORE

Agreed, and sharing MIDI mappings is a great start.
In V2.x you could save a device once you had all the midi assignments mapped. Not sure what the solution is in V3 yet, anyone else?

Yes it does. It's on the same midi channel. When i use my Yamaha cs1x for controlling the pulsar synth, everything runs smooth. No sending out to all midi channels. When I use the jp8000 all channles receive midi data...

Now I narrowed down the problem to only not hearing the pulsar synth. I just started up cubase and now the jp8000 doesn't send midi data to all channels anymore. However now i try to control the pulsar synth from within the cubasee environment but can't find the right setting to hear the pulsar synth...

On my MC505 (also Roland) there's Sysex1 & Sysex2 mode. One sends more sysex, the other uses more CC#. Dunno if that's on JP8000, but you can easily find out recording know movements in Cubase.
WATCH IT: Standard, SYSEX is filtered in Cubase, for recording as for thru-put.
Optins->Midi->Filtering
