Also I strongly advise users to really read the manual and go step by step as this shouldn't be glossed over.
Am extra boost to workflow in editing/recording and live performance.

Thanks Again RoyT..the pdf is excellent and well written.

Hi..

I'm playing (studing!) with Fxkeys ! It's really awesome. As I already said, the manual is perfect.
I love the smooth control function on lfos and dezip control. It's easy to use and not a gas factory at all !

A 'copy / paste' button would be welcome, it's a bit tedious via preset windows. I don't know if it's possible as I'm only a Scope user and not a developper...

This device opens infinite possibilities !
Scope is definitively an awesome audio platform thanks to that kind of device.

Thanks, Roy !!

Hi JoPo, glad that you like it.
copy/paste buttons are possible but very time-consuming to edit for every single parameter, so this will not be happen. I for myself just use the CurrentKey Preset list, and sometimes one of the individual preset lists.

I just made an audio example with my rusty old TR-808, which was quite fun.
More to come soon..

Btw new CwMix 16-16 version with 8 busses: here!

RA from dNa is going to love this great new 8 stereo Bus mixer too, as it is perfect for his Summer of 82.

I was really trying to find a way to use STW Plate X Reverb as a single instance for Kontakt instruments, PianoTeq and B2003. I have bought too many Native verbs and they just don't make the mark as I always have the Lexicon hardware quality stamped into my brain.
But for the life of me couldn't make this work it in Modular, and wasn't possible with any of Medhi's Modular Mixers, but out of the clear blue here comes the dream router solution.

Some of us don't like mixing in a DAW or even submixing, but I do love the audio quality as long as signals have their own routings out.
Now I can bring them into your 8 st. bus mixer out to 2 x Super 8 trackers, or as is to the Summer where the MidSide magic can be used.

And thanks for the demo, as always you cover all bases well.
Thanks So Much Roy..

sure :)

regarding the FxKeys 808 demo, I made some snapshots how I connected the device in Scope:

Image
808 single outs are AD'd and present at Scope ADAT A 1-8 and B 9-11 source channels.
ADAT outs go to cwmix16-16 8Bus mixer (mono inputs 17-27).
Mixer bus 1-8 outputs go to FxKeys inputs 1-8.
FxKeys through outputs go back to Bus1-8.
FxKeys main output goes to Feedback and then to a mixer (stereo) channel.

Image
In the mixer, you can select which instrument (in this case 808 sounds) go to which FxKeys input.

Image
In FxKeys device, you can define each instument's fx portion.

This is really a great concept using these 2 devices. I am going to give it hell for a few days with my new Source and Destination shells.

I mean a copy button for whole fx to paste it on another key.
But it's not so important, it would just be convenient...

Anyway, it's really a nice and unique device. When reading the manual, I was planing a lot of possiblities in my poor brain...

That's the one. thanks Roy.

The control panel on Neutron's feedback device is hidden behind the scope windows when you open it. I thought it wouldn't open at first too.

Thanks for listening yayajohn!
a small but fine FxKeys update:
Image
all Fx "devices" can be de/activated to save dsp.
On/Off status is saved in main preset list, but not in current preset list.
Maybe not so much suitable for the big xite-1 guys. (no "dsp-optimization")
download here.

Nice touch RoyT, thanks.

I loaded the FXKeys and optimized to DSP 7 as usual, then cleared the assignment.
Clicked on every DSP usuage tab and the entire device took 82% of a single DSP.

But what I found fascinating was the way I started loading STW Reverbs into the Insert slots, they were assigned to one of the last 4 Chips, #15 to be exact, then #16, and your 8 Buss Mixer always gets #18, and the DSP #7 82% number wasn't even affected....?

Almost as if these 2 were designed together on an XITE-1 and specially assigned or something.

The Mixer always goes right to the end of the train when loaded first. The FXKeys also goes to one of the last 4 DSP chips upon loading, but I seem to get a better handle on things by loading things on DSP 7 then clearing the asignment.

What's nice is having FX inside the FXKeys, and also FX externally for the 8 Buss mixers' 4 x AUX's.
That way I can pack the Channel inserts until I see 90% then back off, and use the most imprtant ones like soft clips and Filters.

Things just work better for me when I can give devices a single chip for themselves.

Really nice pair of devices you made us, thanks again.
