The external exsys pcie to 4x pci Expansion does Not work, I always have an unstaiable PC and pci overflow message. I sent this shit back to ebayseller.

The Problem is that 3 big cards with 15 dsp creates to much data, I had a really bad days with that shit

well, it wasn't made for realtime audio. i'm sure it could handle the volume of data if time were not of the essense.

it seems like the power supply is often an issue with three cards in a cheap expansion box. the ones that use a wall wart are fine for one card, but not three. the only expansion chassis i've seen that work are the Magmas and the ones that are made from atx boxes and have an actual atx supply. even those have worse pci performance than a regular motherboard, which isn't really surprising. when you start pricing those kinds of solutions, rebuilding the PC with freindlier parts or buying an XITE starts to make sense.

new motherboards also work well. it's socket 1155 which always disappoints.

all systems have limits. if you need four slots, you might have to find a used motherboard or a fairly old machine, though. there are still server boards with 4 slots, but they're expensive.

Hallo garyb thx for the advice, now i wasted so many time, I tried an extra strong targa power supply on that stupidobox. Exsxys tries to sell someting but not working. They should not write your companies name, making it dirty. The exsys box does not work with any of your soniccore and creamware cards.

I try a new Mobo or pc.

this is the end of a 3 days nice sparetime wasting job. Thx exsys, all others should be warned.

After longer recherche i got a asus z87 k with i4770k working with 3x15 Dsp cards =45 dsps =50% of xite1 power, works perfect now!

exsys go home, all others are welcome
