Yes Sur Audio Labs is no longer listed on SonicCore's website and it looks like they may be done with SCOPE. Device plug-ns website has disappeared as well and its been gone a couple days now. I hope all return. There's another thread about developers who may have left here -
http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php ... 32#p299032
Of course we have to wait awhile before it can be confirmed some have left but ATM it does'nt look good.

So.
Gone are brainworx, spl, sur audio lab and space f (sort of as a few plug ins are still available on sonic core site).
And New are dNa and ghost.
Scope still offers an amazing set of tools and I have sur audio labs void (2) and space f's blackbox pack.
I do almost feel I don't want for much else and have far to much to get to know as it is.
The recent nsa on John Bowen/zarg synths I passed up on. 1. I didn't have the budget for it. And 2. I didn't mind missing out on it (already have Solaris 5 and pro wave)
The reason I didn't mind. Is that in all honesty. I can do all I can think of with what I already have. It's time I just mastered the wealth of stuff I have.
But still. If sonic core still had brainworx, spl, sur audio lab and space f it really would be a mind blowing, completely overwhelming package of completeness for audio production.
Even if scope only had the sonic core synths (including modular) it's still a pretty badass offering of sound.
So at the moment, for synth choices, you have all that sonic core have to offer, plus zarg and adern.
Still an amazing offering, but there is no harm in more choice than one could ever cope with. (I'm still yet to get flexor 3)

I was never a big fan of their NordLead/Virus SCOPE emulations, but I must admit it's disconcerting to see another developer jump off the boat.
It would be nice however (probably not legal though) for S|C to continue to sell the plugins as discontinued/no longer supported/legacy products rather than just remove them altogether.
I'm still hoping that I can one day acquire SpaceF's famous blackbox, and then my modular rig will be complete! (ex. Taking a sabbatical year and spending one day per module/insert, still not enough time

)

i was just a bit sad to see the sal stuff disapear (though i have the synth i wanted from them) as it is looking like the scope platform is picking up a nice momentum again, seeing new stuff added at a regular pace (including void and cos 2) is great.
With the most recent new additions i can think of being.
Mattomat
Analyzer
void 2 and cos 2 (but now gone from market)
dNa comp and eq.
Plus all the free stuff made by the community.

Indeed, and that's -before- Scope6 is released...

you can't expect a developer to stick around if they are not making any money. Our user base is probably just too small to support more than a few companies. If we could expand our user base and include some more commercial companies with healthy budgets then the burden wouldn't have to fall on the people that can only afford a plug every few years and can't even afford to buy a Scope Pro used let alone an Xite.
If you love the Scope platform and want to see it stick around and keep the 3rd party developers then perhaps you might want to consider only buying Scope products. Even if there may be another product that you feel is a better bargain.
Just a thought cause that's what I decided to to a while back and I own lots of plugs that I'll probably never use. (correctly that is)
Just a loyal Scope lover, not meaning to stir up any controversy .

Just to consider every possible cause, maybe it will be included in the next promo and temporarily removed from the shop to avoid people who bought it before complaining.

This is true. But the thing for me tho is why not leave the device up there to make some money? The device is complete, the bugs are ironed out, no one is demanding a new version, so why not leave it there to make money for you and for S|C?
Maybe there are some contractual things that I don't understand...

You are a very skilled developer djmicron, and now an optimist too!
I hope you are right

Eanna, i think like you. there is no reason to remove the product from the shop even if it only sells once a year. it doesn't hurt anyone and it won't sell any if it's gone. developers often have their own agendas, however.

There is more choices for synths than you mentioned for SCOPE. The developers you mentioned are majors imo but there are other synth developers for SCOPE also such as Celmo and Wavelength. Celmo is definitely one of my favorite developers and i feel is the best at certain types of effects. There definitely is no shortage of synths and synth developers for SCOPE IMV. I think SCOPE has an abundance actually.

Yeah.
Them guys, as well as a load of free stuffl.
Suppose I'm just listing what's "officially" listed on the sonic core website.
Anyhows. Always find it odd when digital stuff gets removed, it's not as if anything needs manufacturing.
Only time it would make sense is if a contract prevents a developer from being anywhere else.
And if stuff like that happens it would make sense to do a "last chance sale" tell people its going to vanish and to get it before its gone.
Things coming or going is not uncommon, just inform people. Some people "intend" to get stuff. But being told "now or never" will get wallets out. (I might of got cos)
I'm gutted I didn't have the budget to get the zarg nsa. (I would of done next month) but as I said earlier I still got more than enough to do what I want.

Wavelength's SparC is still my favourite synth of the platform, OP8 and Europe are great as well.
Although gone from the platform for many years now, you can still reach Stephen Hummel, and what's more, he answers!
I lost some keys, emailed him, and was up and running several hours later! Maybe he still sells, his devices are not tied to specific cards/xite, so no keys from soniccore. His devices are unlocked softwarewise, which makes it a lot easier for him.
What would he have ment for the platform, if he had stayed...?
