Wow, $99 is a screaming deal. Fun and worth it just to play with the granular stuff :) :)

Purchased it :) The granular stuff is great.

Another good (free) granular tool is GranuLab (for Windows):

mh, if U add 3x more, U can obtain almost everything (also Kontakt with a lot of Kommercial library) with Komplete 9... I don't think that only Kontakt for 100 bucks is a real bargain...

Honestly, everything from NI is cheap and very useful. Reaktor has become a wonderful instrument in itself, and even if it is cheaper buying all the pack together, it is still a joke to be able to get it for 99...

I have it but for some reason, I just can't stop using Battery 4. They improved it greatly since Battery 3. It has Solid Dynamics, Solid EQ and Transient Designer for each sample. Easy to use. I make velocity switching samples with ease. You can master this in one day yet it has a lot of options. Combined with a good microphone and good preamp, tons of fun. I do not like working with Kontakt.

Kontakt is fine if you get used to it, and it sounds great too. I cannot use Bttery 4, still in XP...

Battery 4 is better for old eyes and crappy monitor. I like the simplicity of each sample having it's own place. I don't like to map individual samples over multiple keys and I can make Battery 4 match my Akai PadKontrol perfectly so that I never have to hunt for which key is assigned to which sample. It's very intuitive that way.
