Can anyone recommedend a nice simple wav recorder to record the final output from a pulsar set-up. I am using Sound Forge at the moment but am finding it very slow to respond and don't really need all the options it gives.
I don't want to change my computers settings to optimise soundforge's performance as they have already been changed to get Cubase and Pulsar up and running.
I don't need an editor as such just a recorder.

Subject: to Forge
I record simple tracks from Cubase directly to Forge with very good result (start with click from Cubase and after rec import wav to Cubase). Very simple method.
PS. From BigMixer MixLR (mute all tracks
or from Monitor LR to Forge.
Question: Another guys work in the same method ?

I would like to conyinue using Soundforge, so have you any idea why soundforge is so slow to respond in my set-up. I click the stop button and five second later it stops, also if I select a looped segemnt the transport line in no way corresponds to what I am hearing?

I have had occasional problems with recording to sound forge esp whaen i have a lot of samples in my pulsar environment. i record to ACID because it streams directly to the hard drive. unfortunately it ads "region" for every bar which you can delete in soundforge..wierd..i can open any huge file in SF while pulsar is on but recording in forge can crash me.

Sekd is focuing on their new very expensive Pro Sequia program and is turning over Samplitude 2496 to another manager. Samplitude is the king of Wav recording and processing. It used to be about $900, but I recently saw it listed as an upgrade for $300 due to the new management.
