Foobar should be ok.
When you use a sequencer, do you have the same glitches ?
Then you should look to the basic scope parameters (bios).

Do you use the standard wave source module ?
Is this only with mp3 or wav too ?
Do you listen to your music from an external drive ?
Did you try to change samplerates into foobar or scope ?
Foobar has a lot of options to configure for outpout, maybe you can look there. You can choose asio ouput instead of wave device.

ive got connected the mixer a "24 bit Wave Source 1" module
happens with both mp3 and wav
happens with everything- external, internal, main drive
im always working in 44.1, just tryed changing to different sample rate and not able get anything to play
should be able to get this to work again like before, everything was fine about about a year ago,
thanks

Here it works fine with "24bit wave source" and "wave source".
If you try wave source ?

Try this. Create a second wave source module and connect that to another mixer channel. Then in Winamp or foobar etc open the configuration settings and select wave source 2, instead of wave source 1. Then try playing a file from winamp again and see if that glitches.
I had this happen a few years back, and doing this work around fixed the issue. The only reason I could think why this fixed the issue was possibly that it had something to do with the way windows handled the first wave source module buffers but then because the second wave module was created, the buffer for that was not locked into the windows audio system. I am sure that isn't exactly the way it is but the only way I can describe it. But it's worth a try so I hope it works. Cheers.

Ah, shame it didn't work. Was an old fix on my win xp 32bit setup but worth a try I thought. Hope you get it sorted eventually.

It sounds most likely a Windows issue, but if it's not:
Disable XTC. Try reclicking on the slowest ULLI latency option. Don't use anything other than sources, destinations, and mixer. Disable other audio drivers. In System Sounds select Creamware as default. Check the right IO Enabler selections. Reseat the card. Switch PCI slot if possible. Reinstall card driver. Disable harddrive cache writing.
And do all this:

If it's not that, then it's most likely a bad card, harddrive, processor, or motherboard.
Can't think of anything else...
