Heil Talk Box

I really am stuck here.
I have a brand new Vintage Heil Talk Box. I wish to play Leads on the SE-1 and Stabs on the Solaris using the driver (into long plastic tube) then the Mic-DI in of the XITE-1 to carry the sound coming from the Tube.
My XITE-1 should be my Amplifier Out right...?
Or should I use a Pre Amp post XITE-1 XLR Out/Pre Heil Talk Box..?

I think the talk box needs to be between some sort of amp driver that then drives the speaker.
But putting an amplified signal into xite is no good....
Hmmmmm.... Does Modular have a preamp module?
I think the preamp post Xite approach might work.

I don´t think so.
The Heil Talkbox input needs the guitar amps power amp output and then it goes directly
to speaker from Heil Talkbox output.
There´s a real hi-frequency driver in the Heil Talkbox which is been driven from the power amp´s output, then you do modulation of that signal w/ your mouth and this signal is picked up by a internal mic in the Heil talkbox, this signal been sent to the speaker out.
I doubt it´s possible to drive the HF driver by a preamp signal, otherwise the Heil Talkbox´ input would be labeled "guitar preamp out".
The Rocktron Banshee p.ex. has integrated preamp/power amp stages and works different.

There´s also a Rocktron Banshee 2 w/ integrated FX loop and all the features of the Banshee ...

These might work much better for synths.

what the talkbox is, is a horn driver with a tube connected.
the analog output should go to a very small amp. a gutar amp is great because of the way a guitar amp is voiced, but any amp will do. 10-20 watts is plenty. a guitar player would either use a head and cabinet or a combo amp where the speaker cabinet and amp are one piece. if he used a combo amp, ne might need to disconnect the spekaer wire and solder a jack on it. he'd also have to make a cable with a jack and connect it to the speaker, making the speaker wire into two pieces that could be seperated. the speaker output from the amp goes into the talkbox input. the output from the talkbox goes to the speaker. then, when you use the pushbutton on the talkbox, it toggles between sound coming from the talkbox or the normal speaker.
a mic picks up the sound coming out of the tube, modulated by the player's mouth and voice...

So should I dump this for the Banshee II..?
I really don't need to be lugging around more gear, just want to have an extra comping sound like the guy in Joe Walshs' recording of Rocky Mountain Way had on the EPiano.

Well, Gary´s reply was almost identical to mine,- so I think it´s worth a try.
I cannot guarantee it will work w/ the Banshee because I don´t own it,- but it seems you shouldn´t go w/ Solaris or any other Synth´s output into the Heil Box and then directly into a mixer or such,- it´s not build for that.
There´s more chance w/ the Banshee but requires a test drive though.
Because all these stomp boxes are for guitar,- you might run into some impedance mismatch also w/ the Banshee and a synth´s line level output.

yeah, the Banshee has a built-in amp.
that's the one you want.
another to consider is the Danelectro Free Speech talkbox. it has it's own amp, it has it's own mic, it works and it's cheap.
but on second thought, the Banshee is a much better product....

The Danelectro looks good, I think I shall just demo them, as now I have a bunch of Moog, Heil and MXR stuff I can;t use w/ the XITE-1. I can use them, but they just don't work like I thought they would.
Thanks My Brothas'
