Scope 4.5 Platform loses registry key on startup

I am running WinXP 32bit Home and OWC Extreme Pro 3G SSD with its own garbage collection firmware so it doesn't need TRIM support. The only problem I'm having with my system is that sometimes, about 2 times a week, Scope 4.5 would lose its registry key during Windows startup as it's trying to open the default project automatically. I get a message box that asks me to select the card and provide the .RGY key. After I provide the key, it works flawlessly. But it's just annoying. If anyone has an idea of how to prevent the RGY from getting lost please share. I haven't reinstalled Scope yet, but plan to.

it's probably not losing the key. when the software starts, it does several checks. most likely, just because of timing of all the things running and/or starting on your machine, the check for keys is getting interrupted and then the software asks for the key, or something like that....

if you simply closed Scope and reopened it it would start normally, because the keys are probably still there. although this is annoying, it's probably more trouble to figure out exactly why this occurs and easier to just live with it.

Thanks. Good thing it's not a card related issue :)

as long as it's a very rare occurance, i don't think it's a big deal. if it happens constantly, then you need to double check all the basic setup settings, especially checking for shared irqs.

I think this problem was due to having the RGY file on a separate hard drive inside the PC. Now I put the RGY file on the system drive and will have to wait and see what happens.
