Is there any way to load a particular scope project without first loading the default/startup project? I did a file association but it still only loads the default/startup.

only by making the project you want opening first into the startup project.
live bar set\settings\projects\save project as startup

ok thanks. I guess the answer is no then. You have to load your default/startup and then a different project and no way around this eh?

what do you really want to do?
if you want something to be the project that loads when Scope opens, make the one you want the startup project.
otherwise, what does it matter is a project opens when Scope opens and then you switch? i mean, the startup project could be blank. is it just the annoyance of being asked if you want to save the startup project when you go to load the one you want? i feel like i'm missing something...

Nope, no annoyance here i love Scope a really really lot. The purpose of the question: to minimize startup times, optimize workflow but no biggie - just wondering if it would work.

Can vouch for garyb's suggestion of a blank one, I've been using that for some time as best way to reduces startup time.

yeah mine is almost blank too. It was just a whimsicle thought to maybe save a couple of mouse clicks nothing more. The windows file association fooled me into thinking Scope would load specific projects like Office loads documents when you click on them. I am reminded that even though Scope needs an operating system such as Windows, it is designed to be as separate as it possibly can which increases it's stability. Now.....back to making music and exploring Scope.

It's the GUI that needs to get updated, as it's outdated to new customers, if you ask me

Think of cable handling, preset handling.
Not to speak of the shell on old mac OS9...

wow, gui is outdated....
i guess it is actually, as far as programming languages go. that's part of v6 a gui update.
but functionally, for anyone who actually cares about audio gear, not so much....in my opinion...
