Why would I get rid of what makes me money...?
I work in the realtime world, not the indoor Native enviroment.
Someday that might change, and if it does, I will use their designs.
So for now, I must use what works/sounds the best.

After 17 years, Apple and Windows synths are still targetted 4 indoor users which is the market they helped create. The benefits are more people enjoying and recording music, and their numbers far outweigh the needs of Live/realtime cats.
24 years is it what it took for Native developers to finally make the rare and unseen sostenuto and half pedalling features, so I doubt we will see any huge advances in development.
Hell just think of what we could do with Kontakt if it accepted audio as a modulation source.
FWIW, Modular IV is now a realtime synth as it accepts audio as modulation, and the sound of the sweeping Filters, Portamneto and LFO/EGs was an overnight success.
Odd that this little trick made Modular bypass Native again, just like it did in 1999.
Too bad the old Creamware synths can't use this trick.
But most folks won't be taking advantage of this as that requires understanding synthesis and buidling your own patches....... .....Lord forbid such overwhelming and tedious chores.
But at least Phrase Modelling is being considered.
