Hi!

Just wondering, shouldn't the S button in the Bigmixer solo the track? Doesn't work for me. Using 3.0.

Depends on where you connected the output. I recommend using the "control room" output rather than the L-R mix.

Yep, I'm using the Mix output. The solo won't work then?

Wow I've always wondered why the solo didn't work and now I know.

jeez, the things you can learn on this site are fenomenal.
since i discovered planet z, i'm more reading the stuff than making music, but it has made living in the pulsar universe a lot easier. hope i can see some helpfull answers about the sequencer remote control, and other things too, of course.
damn, i'm hungry, i've forgotten to eat all day because of this whole new world.

Works fine Air! Thanks a lot! Somewhat irritating though that you have to click the Mix button again (up to the right) after you're done using the Solo button.

No problem, nice to be of any use.
The mix button issue must be a bug or something, haven't seen that problem using the new mixers

Well I've never been a good fan of designing things in the traditional way. The control outs work with solo and I will never ever use the "main out" again! Why on earth would I want less functionality?

The mix out is for sending to a recorder for your final mix... There is no SOLO in a final mix!

Like sending it all to a 1/2" tape or Wavelab, for example...

But yes, for monitoring, you should always use to ctrlroom out, and with the 2448 mixer, you hvae also a studio out for sending the sound elsewhere, like a JAM room!

Well I know for a fact that a lot of engineers use the solo button as an effect when doing their "final mix". Limiting your options is just stupid. The only reason I could think of using it is in a studio enviroment when you are recording and want to hear a track on solo without changing what your singer or musician is hearing while performing, (it would be very distracting).
