My problem came from my trying to add more HD which is IDE into my window vista computer,the current HD is SATA,and i carelessly inserted HD into IDE connectors without seeing that it was a masterHD so trouble came even though i threwout thatHD,the current is not operating smoothly,it hangs lot.
The audio player plays fine but midi screwed up( i use reaper )so i installed the scope again ( it's version4)and it hanged when it nearly finished.I think it screwed up the BIOS info or something like that.
I am not a technical computer guy but if i know how to correct the BIOS,i think i can cure this

why would the bios be a problem?

adding a HD should not affect Scope in ANY way.

if you really want to play in the bios, get in the bios and reset it back to fasctory stock settings(there is an option to do this there).

thnx for reply,i moved scope to new slot and reinstalled,it hanged when nearly finished ,restarted and it seemed to work well now except that it doesnt start after bootup everytime and window xp's search function doesnt appear when i clicked it.

master/slave on ide is controlled via jumpers on the drive.

the installer definitely works, if the computer is working correctly. i'm not sure why you have this problem. it seems that windows may have a problem.

sure. copy the desktop shortcut icon to your startup folder.
