Scope 4.5 no auto start and install not importing keyfile?

Win xp home sp3

i'm having issues with scope not starting after windows boots even if I try and save the current project as default startup. Think I've tried reinstating this by editing the cset.ini in the past but it has happened again so I want to reinstall from scratch and lo and behold more problems :(

The 'select package to install' dialog with the keyfile import option has the next button greyed out and It does not seem to import a keyfile successfully. It allows me to browse for a keyfile (.rgy) and select but after selecting the next button is still greyed out so cannot go any further with install. I know the .rgy file is good as the current install/devices use it without problem.

So if there is a way of getting scope 4.5 to autostart would be great but failing that helping me figure out why I can't reinstall would also help :)

the easiest way would be to place a shortcut to Scope.exe(Scope/app/bin) in the startup folder.

if you want to reinstall and get around the greyed out next button, place a copy of the device, dsp, vxd, sys, preset, and project folders on the desktop(unless you have NO user presets or third party or optional plugins, in which case you can skip this step) and unistall Scope. trash the Scope folder. reinstall. after reinstalling, you can overwrite the saved folders with the ones from the desktop.

Thanks garyb. Can always count on you :) Will give it a try and report back. Think I've tried the startup folder option but didn't work for different logins.

There's a Regedit hack described here :

For win7 but might work for XP
