Hello,
i have done one of the biggest move in my life.. no.. its not kid (which i have three of.. or getting married..)
I am divorcing my iMac for a Windows 7 Machine...
The simple reason.. asio straight into the mixer in scope (before i could do 12 channels from the seqeuencer.. now i do 24 asio)..
However.. this is not my question.. i am wondering.. is there any preformance differences between Classic or Standard mode in scope?`
I like the Classic, since its easy to deal with two screens!
any feedback welcome.

Cant see that there would be any difference, since the Scope GUI runs on native it wont impact the DSP's and the native CPU wouldnt be used much at all just to handle the GUI's.
Its not like the Scope GUI's run 3D animated renditions of each device......would be nice though.

Well thanks for bringing up this topic. i just discovered that the classic mode is more beneficial to me on a dual monitor setup. I can shrink the outer window so anything loaded stays on the secondary monitor rather than popping up on the main. That keeps things from getting confusing like say you have a dual pci/xite setup

and you wanna make sure you keep things on their proper side.
Other than that I really don't see a whole lot of difference and I'd bet a month's salary there isn't any performance issue at all.
edit: apparently that does not apply to the "do you want to save" type messages, they still appear on the primary monitor but I can live with that.

I had a similar experience...more so with a laptop that has an occasional second monitor. In standard mode, without the second monitor, I'd loose scope device windows to the phantom monitor. Switching to classic view brought them back Into view.

Hello,
I have actually noticed that the VU and graphics drawing are way slower in Classic mode!
Thats a bit boring actually..
