BNC Word clock

Hi,
The PC with Scope/Pulsar 2 does not have BNC word clock (for sync) as I don't have the expansion card that was used for that purpose with the PCI cards - The A16 mk1 and 2 both have word clock in and out- The Behringer ADA 8000 has word clock in!
I write this to ask that if I ever needed wordclock on this system for sync purposes what my best options would be- Currently I don't need this and may never but....
Would there be a device that connected digitally (SPDIF/AES) that would deal with this if need be?-
Thanks

the was a Syncplate, a bnc wordclock card that went with the pci cards. they can be found around.
you only need wordclock if you have a number of different things to sync together. most will never need it.
the advantages to wordclock are a more stable clock(maybe), and that many devices demand to be master but can slave via wordclock.

Most never need it eh.......

.....well that will probably be me too......
As things come together more I'm trying to think ahead a little to work out what I may need-crossing bridges as you come to them is good advise but today I've learned (off topic here sorry) that the A16 Ultra Mk 1 that I bought a few years ago is a god send.....as it has Z-link on so I can use it with Xite-1....major relief-----seriously.......as the MK2 had MADI instead of Z-link
Not being a studio pro I don't know 100% what will be needed which adds to the confusion/aprehension etc.......so coming back on topic again - syncronisation - BNC most don't need - The worst case scenario for me in my little home studio will be-2 PC's hooked up via VST system link with simultaneous recording of ADAT/preamp - 2 X 16 on Xite-1 and 2 x 16 on Scope Pro/Pulsar 2 - to keep things simple some channels will be used for system link so it won't be the full count (probably no where near) but there may be some sync issue possibly which I'd like to be aware of now-just so I know-less worry etc....
vst system link is a sync in itself isn't it? -
Xite -1 (pc 1)
Scope Pro/Pulsar 2 (pc2) and there may be a chance of putting power-sampler with this too with ADAT expansion plate though I would need to modify the PC case metal to let the connector ribbon for the ADAT expansion plate go outside of PC and dangle the ADAT expansion outside of the chassis-------but-------this seems alot of hassle with no guarantee of good outcome----as it would be hard to keep the expansion plate in good order---------and really may not need another 32 channels of I/O..........

............but this is part of thinking ahead to weigh things up etc.....and reach the best conclusion of what to do.............
Sorry for going on so much............
