Hi Gary,
Yes I know technically they are the same, but if some one wants to trade the black one or selling it, than I sure would like to have the black version in my rack. For me the leds are bit more clear visible due to a condition of my left eye.

sure. maybe Ferrofish has a few faceplates...
you could make a custom one.
