Posted here and on XITED the problem of XITE-1D ADAT working on EVEN channels only - with ODD ones producing crackles and pops. Various suggested including cleaning ADAT ports with compressed air were given. In the end, this one was the WINNER !

Note Scope PCI is slaved to XITE which is Master.

Well I think the issue was the XITE ones with the flaps anyway, but yeah Ill cap the open PCI ones.

Thanks to Niceboy as well for reminding me I still had to fix it, coz I went to Bunnings the next day. I didnt know WD40 made air as well as conducting cleaner.

Huh. I'll go back and clean mine out again. I can only explain it as manufacturing dust, since the caps on port B had never been removed until I tried the ADAT at 48kHz .

I guess the same would be for Dante, since his unit was even newer than mine. That's great news!

Let us know how it goes JK, the problem was also on my XITE's 'B' ports (and only @ 48Khz). Those flaps are good at keeping dust out, but if there is manufacturing dust the flaps might also be good at keeping it in !

I blew them for about 10 seconds each.
