I'm messing around in Modular2 (waiting impatiently for my XITE-1), and I'm having a bit of a problem controlling a LP filter. I've attached a pic demonstrating the setup. I want the filter to follow the frequency of the notes. In this setup it won't when you sweep the keyboard, since the MVC is set to Gliss. It will just keep the freq untill you lift the finger. Is there a way to do this, without changing away from gliss?

Re: LP filter control
it's because the mvc sends the changes on the freq out.
Have you tried to connect the freq out to the cutoff modulation input?
It just needs to be multiplied.
I have attached the patch.

Re: LP filter control
Have you tried to raise the voice count to 2 or more?
Re: LP filter control
Just dl'd it as I was surprised to see a Noise Oscillator, so I will have some fun.

Re: LP filter control
Hmmm. It works with the multiplier into CFm1, but using Keyf from the Note output (and raising the number of voices to avoid note stealing) gives a wider range of frequency control.
**********EDIT*********
eeehm, raising the number of voices means leaving monophonic mode, which defeats portamento somewhat.
Is there a way to keep the level of frequency control you get from the "note to Keyf" method, but still maintaining "true" portamento? By true, I mean like the sweep you get when holding one note down in monophonic portamento, and hitting other notes. The note keeps gliding back to the note you keep holding.
....am I making sense?

Re: LP filter control
with the standard mvc you can't .
With the mvc c provided with modular 4, there is the legato and the retrigger option, but there is not portamento using notes.
For portamento you have to work with the frequency out.
You only have to adjust the freq multiplier to a value that fits your needs.
Else you can follow a different approach, using envelopes to control the filter modulation.
I'll make a patch later.
