Back to Scope

Decided to dust off my old XP DAW so I can use the Scope again. I hadn't used this computer in years and it would not boot. Seagate said the drives were fine and after some fiddling, I installed a thrid party bootloader. It now boots every time. The next problem was The Scope cards (Pulsar 2 and Luna) were having spasms. Same old exasperating problem I have always had from day one of dealing with these cards. . I juggled them around for a while and even got them both on the same IRQ with nothing else on that IRQ but it didn't fix the problem. Finally, exasperated, I ditched the Luna and used just the Pulsar 2. Problem solved. Linking to my DAW via the Pulsar 2 S/PDIF Out with fingers crossed, it worked. Eureka! Now I can use my Minimax again etc. I expect it to be rock solid since I am only using the Scope and no sequencer or anything else. Best of all, I didn't have to buy anything. The Pulsar 2 is one of four Creamware/Scope cards I have purchased in my life. They are in the closet now. Totally useless and very expensive junk.

Some folks just get srewed their entire life as if a bad Karma follows them wherever they perch.
Name a price on the 3 x junk cards and take some jpegs for ebay, I'll buy them.
But I actually think you're fill of shit as usual and every now and then make it to the Library so you can use the internet.
Will you have jpegs next week when you go reserve a PC at the local Library...?
If so post the cards, and make sure they are listed correctly, and pictures from the website don't count.
But glad you're back.
I miss the tales of the RAID Pianos, etc.

i own 7 cards and all are still working
sell the ones you dont use
i would say its the comp thats the problem
if you dont like using this stuff then why bother being on this site if all you are going todo is bitch it dont help any one
if you have problems its better to ask for help than bitch as more peolple are likely want to help you
but if you are bitching all the time then people tend to dont want to help as you seem that you are to pig headed to take help
and as soon as some one says something you dont like you block them how very childish of you
so block me and then i dont have to read your childish degrading remarks
and the community will be better for it goog bye fare the well

Back to the topic at hand, are you going to sell the cards braincell? They seem to have value to others and you're letting them sit and gather dust....
Fwiw I've got 2 cards running in my 2001 era dual xeon 24/7 to this day...dunno what I'm doing wrong besides not using them enough myself

braincell, you have so many times made negative statements about cost. So obviously cost does matter to you. Considdering this, it makes no sense whatsoever that you keep holding on to those cards, which you do not use, and which represent a monetary value, which after all is dropping slowly, still.
So either you don't have those cards (as some are "hinting" to), or you are making some really bad decisions. But at least those bad decisions gives you a "reason" to blame other people for your suffering ... as you have done so many times around here.

You'd think such an astute synthesist with a Nord G2, Novation Supernova, 4 x Scope DSP cards, an XP machine and a Windows 128 bit machine. would certainly have a low tech cell phone camera, or even a neighbor or family member.
Then again maybe he took some pictures, but his reservation at the Library isn't until the follwing week, and he needs the tax payers to send him a check so can get there by Bus...
