I'm still on XP here. My new lappy will be Windows 7 - probably 64-bit if all my software is available (I don't think BFD2 is yet), but Windows 8. Think I'll leave it to the geeks to fuck their system up first. I'll probably try it in about 6 years' time judging by my current trend.

Just in time for me to switch over to MacOS, or open-Scope Linux version
Beware that I think Win8 is
entirely and only 64-bit, so no bridging, and possibly no Scope compatibility...
but we'll see.
I think Win8 may be too little too late, and probably not worth the update for at least a year.

Windox XP Pro SP3 here, and happy as a red mature untouched apple (that was a paradox, wasn't it?)
If you don't need specific functions from a new OS, what do you need it for? So far, I can do everything I need in XP, and I do a real amazing lot of things. Mr Arkadin, we belong to the same teem
I doubt that music will sound better having W8 or 7 or XP. If you have a stable system, don't touch it and wait 6 years like we do...

I have chanched before my HDDs than my OS.

That's the beauty of a diverse crowd, using pretty similar rigs.
If it has any advantages we'll hear about it.
Go For It NTN...
I still wish we could have an OS for Scope DSP and audio only.
But Gates and Co. enjoy the plantation they've created.

So, what is your experience? Does it do 32 bit programs? Does it work with Win7 drivers? And with Win7 drivers, which are only 32 bit?
I don't remember this precisely, But I think it is only about 8 years ago, I switched to WinXP. This laptop has Win7, but my music PCs still run NLited WinXPs.
