Tonehammers Emotional Piano

I've been looking for a replacement for my long lost "PMI Old Lady"-sampled piano which I unfortunately only have in Gigasampler-format = more or less useless these days...
Tonight I've been trying out Tonehammers Emotional Piano, and I really like what I've been hearing so far. Most other sampled piano's I've tried, are not really good at "quiet playing", which I do have a preference for.
Here's tonights result with a little added reverb, delay and some ms-eq.
Enjoy

Very Nice.
I actually like the exaggerated Pedal Noise.

Happy to hear you liked it.
And yes, the pedal noise is over exaggerated here. It' possible to adjust the volume on the pedal noise on tonehammers Emotional Piano and I did turn up quite a bit here to produce some extra sound elements for this simple melody. Also I used the preset "soft", which in a way also enhances the "instruments" noise.
Jimmy, I know you used to work with gigasampler, do you know of any good sample conversion tools that will convert my gs3-sampled libraries correctly to Kontakt-format or anything else more useful than gs3?

Very nice. The tone and the playing are well paired and nicely evocative.
I also made the move from GS to Kontakt and have had good luck with the converter built into Kontakt 4, it takes a while and appears to crash at some point, but it does work. I messed about with the Chicken Systems converter software a few years ago but I remember getting frustrated with it for some reason or another.

Thanks!
I believe that the converter in Kontakt is the same as with the Chicken Systems converter (Same programmer). I also tried to use the converter in Kontakt 5, but it crashes when it comes to one specific sample in the library that I'm trying to convert. You say that it works regardless or what exactly are you saying? Should I just keep on trying until I get lucky or what is the approach you had succes with?

The Kontakt 4 converter has been working well. Though I gave up on trying to convert entire folders at once as the process takes a long time and if there is a file that causes a crash you are stuck wondering at what point did the system crash. So I only convert old patches as I need them, one at a time.

those are some soft hammers
PMI has newer libraries too, maybe not as dark as this..
There's always pianoteq, which has become my end all piano.

Yes, I like it soft

It is what I'm looking for and what I found in PMI Old Lady and now also in Tonehammers Emotional Piano (Preset: Soft

) - I believe my preference has to do with the really old piano I grew up with, it had (may it rest in peace) this soft character as well.
I tried out pianoteq a while back and it doesn't do the trick for me - I still identified it as being "artificial", and for the kind of piano work I do, I can't "hide" the artificial sound behind layers of other sounds. I need a real piano or a well sampled piano that meets my preference in sound - But maybe it is time to check out pianoteq again.
@ Timothyday
I tried your approach, I still can't get it to work - I get BSOD-crashes in windows 7.

OK, I tried out Pianoteq tonight and I have have to eat my words again - I am impressed. It has become much better than since I tried it out last time. The "artificial" sound I remember is gone. I couldn't quite find the sound/tone I was looking for, but pianoteq is deffinitely useful in many situations - I'll keep an eye out for it from now on.
For now though I'll stick with Tonehammers Emotional Piano (soft preset) - the sound it produces inspires me when I play it.
