Re: CwMix16-16
It looks good on my system - but I would like it larger - closer to filling the screen.
(I'm running at 1920x resolution on both my laptop and desktop systems - plus my eyes are getting older, and it's hard to read this from a distance in the studio or on stage).
Thanks though, it looks great!

Re: CwMix16-16
On the other hand, I like the fact that its screen real estate is so economical, lets me fit other stuff like plug-ins in and around.
One thing I REALLY like is that at last we have a mixer with VERTICAL track naming, so no more having to call 'Lead Guitar' something like LdGtr.
Individualising the track colours helps - you can match the colours to the track colours in host DAW eg Cubase
For example, for some reason, I always make BASS track Orange ?
Im interested to hear other peeps colour associations.

Can't believe I missed this, I must be tripping about the Black Helicopters above my house...
Everything works fine here.
Uses 2700 on the DSP w/o any effects.
I am thinking that I will record with 48bit Integer/96k in Reaper, then Master back into Scope @ 48k.
Sounds fantastic, cool Panning Law, or maybe it's the 96k that makes it sound wider.

Hey roy! Great mixer! this is just what i need.. i wanted to replace the STM2448 with something more accessible!
This mixer gives a great overview! But i cant connect aux back to main mixer inputs, so i can generate feedback loops. I get an error about recursion. Is there any magic to get it to work?

Re: CwMix16-16
Hi Egil,
it makes me wonder if your fb approach would work with any mixer, but anyway:
you may test this one (auxOut>fb>channel_In).
just a fb circuit with an highpass filter.
besides that, I've added a tiny but (at least for me) helpful feature:
you can decide now how the channel numbers are counted - from 1 to 36 or from 1/2 to 48, so the mixer has the same numbering as the asio channels of your daw.
(use the switch left of the preset lists)
download feedback
download cwMix16-16

Re: CwMix16-16
Hey Roy, thats great!!
But i have another problem as well.. i dont think its something with your device.. but my computer totaly locks up randomly when using this device.
i have gotten that before with other devices.. which i dont remember which is. Its probably related to some library i am using. I will try to reinstall the c++ redist from scope. anyone here knows which package that scope 5.1 is using?
I need to use the stm for now, but i am sure that my problem can be fixed.. (a reinstall of the windwos is also an option).. i would love to use this mixer as the standard.. i love how its gives easy access, coloring and the amount of inputs!

Re: CwMix16-16
just to be sure:
did you use the latest version of 16-16?
did you use presets? if yes, did you copy the provided .pre files in the zip?
(you have to overwrite all the old "all", "colors", "names", "channel" presets, sorry)
because in old versions, there was a problem with the preset file management (which caused a Scope crash here, too). it occured only when using presets, and it's fixed now.

Hey Roy,
Thanks for the replay.
I probably didn't use the latest one, but i had problem with my whole computer freezing (power button or unplugging the power cable would be the only resolution). I have now re-installed windows 7, gotten rid of all kind of debugging libraries due to the computer had visual studio 2008 and 2010 installed , my guess is that there where some library issues in my computer which this re-install should solve.
I will try it now to see if there is any new success

Re: CwMix16-16
WOW! Thank you for this mixer. I'm going to use this on all my projects from now on. I really like how logical the layout is and the EQ function is great (love all the selectable EQ's). Being able to shut down unused channels will give me more DSP for my synths, which is awesome. Thank you again (and thanks for those GREAT synths you made too!).

Re: CwMix16-16
Hi and thanks for the replies.
bad, that there still was a bug when using presets... good thing that I finally tracked him down
so please download the whole thing again:
http://www.cwmodular.org/files/Cwmix16-16.zip
install also the provided preset file "cwm16-16.pre", if you already saved a preset file.
the update has a slightly changed GUI (bit smaller), and has an improved mute handling (when muting a channel which is routed to a bus, now it is not anymore necessary to mute also the respective bus channel).
I also removed the bus solo buttons. If you want to solo a bus you have to solo all channels which are routed to this bus (which you had to do it in the previous versions anyway).
for convenience, you can make presets for that.
and now: happy composing and mixing

Is there a manual for this Cwmix16-16 somewhere.XITE-1/4LIVE wrote:Can't believe I missed this, I must be tripping about the Black Helicopters above my house...

Re: CwMix16-16
hotkey? what exactly do you mean.
btw, I made a new, smaller version. same features, but stereo and mono channels are not visible at the same time.
there is a switch "stereo ch" resp. "mono ch" to change views. (left of preset knobs)
download cwMix16-16 (update with fixed AuxMute) and cwMix16-16c (compact version)

The FAT INSERTS works really good with all your filters in the compact mixer.roy thinnes wrote:hotkey? what exactly do you mean.

We find the GS best for doing feedback in the subbas.
Just look at the meters in series.
The numbers used on the ParamEQ is from top 771 hz, 464 hz ,748 hz and 76 hz .

Re: CwMix16-16
nice one, thanks
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
Re: CwMix16-16
Very nice upgrade with excellant documentation. Congrats on great work. (ScopeRise article updated accordingly).
