Hi, I've been running Ver3.1c Power-Pulsar/Scope (single card/15 DSP) for years, with Synths & Sampler pack working brilliantly for the entire time. I've just moved into Win7 64 Ver5.1 and I'm unable to authorise devices (e.g. minimax, etc), even after importing the keyfile supplied with the 5.1 upgrade. Dialogue says "Import Suceed", though asks repeatedly for an activation key for the same devices. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Did you backup your old files, then uninstall them and make of fresh install of the new 5.1 one or did you install it on top of the old 3.1c software ?

Did you succeed to make any device work or do you have the same trouble with all of them ?

This is a clean installation in a new box - new win7 and new scope software 5.1. I have had the same trouble trying to authorise synths predominantly, as I can locate the new STS5000 and run this without problems. It's the Minimax, EB16i, and SB404 that continue to appear as 'unregistered' each time after a supposedly 'import succeed' with keyfileV5 import. And the only way out of this 'loop' is to Task Manager Scope and end the program.

Should I just email SC with the generated requests for activation codes? Or should I try using the keyfile for my 3.1c & synths/sampler - which is sitting on my old PC?

have you checked the new keyfile to be sure that the keys in question are in the new file?

the old keys won't work. you should send S|C the request strings and the old keyfile. it will take a day or two. there are a lot of requests right now.

To check the content of the new keyfile, just read it with a notepad app and check if Minimax is in the list for example.
If not, a kind e-mail to SC should solve your problem ...

I've been able to see that the new keys are in the keyfile...just no luck importing. Well, it says 'import succeed' though immediately asks again to repeat the process for the same devices.

Do you think it would be worth unstalling 5.1 and starting again?

it's possible that it's the software, but highly unlikely.

if you like, you can send a copy of your keyfile to me via pm, and i'll see what can be seen....

Hi Gary, I've just re-installed 5.1 and the same thing is happening. On opening a project Scope asks to authorise 'unregistered devices' (e.g. vectron, minimax) and will repeatedly 'import succeed' - though then ask for the same device to be re-authorised over and over again. The only way out is to force quit Scope. Strange... thanks for your help

you right clicked on the Scope icon and chose "run as administrator" or right clicked chose properties\advanced and then checked the "run as administrator" check box?

I've sent SC string requests and awaiting a reply. The strange thing is I managed to load a previously unauthorised synth and save it in a project. Then on restart it returned to the same 'import suceeded' - 'unregistered device' loop.

Same Problem here , worsk fine in sonic core software . But when i try loading in cubase , he ask for the autorization file for all plugins , after i give autorization i can load then in cubase

import succeeded is a fake reply, it just means the file has been read, no more...

hi , i solved +- the problem by change the name of the file xtcproject.pro to xtc.pro(bin\xtcapp) and the cubase
load the plugins fine , no more reg.

But now the problems is the plugins dont have knobs !
