Acer Aspire 4755g

hi, i bought a Acer Aspire 4755g.
it had a 5400rpm sata hard disk on it, n i replace with a intel 80gb ssd G2 by myself
now the configuration is: 32bit win7(fully updated),4GB ram, 80gb ssd, 1 usb3, 2 usb2.
problem: if i right click on desktop it took much time to show the menu!! or programs are taking too much time to open.
my suspect:
1. the hard disk is behave like a ATA drive!! though i install Intel SATA AHCI controller.
2. do i need to upgrade BIOS?? current system BIOS is v2.09
