I have got an old device that I schould like to test in 4,0 or 4,5 called the Attacker and I want to test it in our 3DSP Luna that we use for single plugins like the VDAT.
It was made for 3,1 but the info says it was made for drums and better than any other compressor chain for just that .
I can read on the DVD v2 oxe file. I tried to load it in 5,0 putting the oxe-file among Devices dev- files.
It did not work ,so we want to know what to do maybe its not even working in 4,0 or 4,5, but we want to try it in one Mac maybe, because its also for Mac.
We could not make installation 4,0 or 4,5 working in W7 nor in our Vista but thats because we asked for keyfile 4,0 for only our 3 dsp luna .and there we have all card slots with Scope 45 dsp.
Maybe we can have it to work in W7 ,or do we have to use XP with Scope 3,1, for the oxe-file. Or maybe Scope for Mac with PCI can have oxe-files.
Or maybe I am just doing something wrong with oxe-file in 5,0 .
In Xite 5,1 we did not test it at all.

I note SPL is no longer on the S|C third party device list in shop.

I recently upgraded my older version SPL Transient Designer to the newer version and can recommend it. Its different from compression because it will have the same effect on transient irrespective of the level. EG the 'gating' effect of having a 'long' snare will be the same whether the snare is soft or loud.

Maybe ask Ralf if you can upgrade the old Attacker to the newer Transient Designer. He may do it albeit with some limitation on support if SPL is no longer with us.

I am so new to scope so I cant follow.
I found the Attacker under plugins SPL_Attacker_v3
So the v3 is working in 5,1 and 5,0.
I have v2 on an old CD from spain, can I have it upgraded to v3,
or is it sold through Ralf.
I mean what is the normal procedure ,if I have an old CD here

the downloads are for those who have keys. i don't know any details in this matter, or i'd tell you, but if it's not in the shop, it's not being sold. if it's not being sold, you can't have it, unless you already own it.

I am trying to find out about SPL Transient Designer not the Attacker.
Dante has just upgraded it he said , so how could he do that, if its not for sale ???

So we maybe need to find the newer Transient Designer from someone.
If its so good as you say, also on voice I assume.
So maybe I shall try to find someone who want to sell the Transient Designer.

this is, there are NO SPL products in the shop, so it's not for sale. it was for sale until there was no longer an agreement with SPL. i don't know the details, perhaps the term of the last agreement ended and it wasn't renewed, perhaps ther was a problem, perhaps SPL wanted more money, perhaps it's temporary, perhaps it's a secret why, i don't know and i don't think it matters much.

if it can't be sold, you can't have it, unless SPL oks it. there are copyright laws.

there's no point in keeping Ralf from working over it.

I have keys for the Attacker, but maybe for the SPL Transient also,
I have not tried yet.
The Spanish 15 dsp cards says just all keys.
I will try

if it's in the keyfile that you have for that card, then you can use it.

I dont want advice what to do in our company.
We have a schedule here.
What Ralf and I do is between us.

bugging Ralf over something that he can't control, if that's indeed the case, won't do anything to help your deadline. in fact, the wasted time will put you further behind. also, Ralf has deadlines too, and a list of things peole want him to do, so if indeed you can't have the device because SPL says "you're not authorized anymore", bugging Ralf commits a double sin of wrecking your deadline and Ralf's. that's not nice. your mother would not be proud.

Dante informed here that he use the Attacker for Snare.
We are going to use it on the full drumset first to try.
Next step we use it for the bassdrum,
because thats where we need it the most.
Our drummer plays relaxed so when we play live,
we want very steady bassdrum with relaxed syncopation.
Thats why we want to test the Attacker.
Ralf is going to upgrade the Atacker for our old 45 dsp he said now,
while we wait for some new stuff for drums from Sonic Core.
Thats going to be even better Ralf said.
